[01] COURSE INTRODUCTION

This two-day workshop provides professionals with an integrated approach to e-invoicing, full accounting practices, and corporate tax compliance and planning. Through hands-on modules, participants will explore essential accounting systems, e-invoicing, and tax strategies, equipping them with the tools to streamline processes and ensure regulatory compliance.

On Day 1, participants will dive into the foundations of accounting, covering the main books, ledgers, and classifications to accurately track business transactions and avoid common tax issues. They’ll gain a thorough understanding of e-invoicing applications, including self-billed AP, consolidated invoicing, and real-world implementation challenges. By exploring these essential topics, attendees will learn how e-invoicing integrates with accounting workflows, enhances record-keeping, and supports effective financial reconciliation.

Day 2 shifts to corporate tax, focusing on income tax computation, allowable expenses, tax incentives, and strategic planning. Participants will learn practical approaches to tax computation, incentive application, and forecasting techniques, including "what-if" analyses and AI-driven cash flow planning. This workshop enables professionals to align their accounting, invoicing, and tax practices, leading to more efficient financial management and optimized tax outcomes.

DR. STEVEN LIEW 

HRDF Certified Trainer, Consultant 

Dr Steven Liew is a fellow member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK and is a Chartered Accountant by profession. He has an Asia Pacific Executive MBA (for senior executives) from the National University of Singapore and a PhD in international finance with Rushmore University of USA. 

Dr Liew had worked in private sector companies, ranging from family-run businesses to professionally managing multi-national corporations in South Asia and the ASEAN region. He has accumulated more than 30 years working experience in senior financial & operational management positions spearheading the profitability and growth of companies. He has worked for the MBF Finance & its related group of companies over the 10 years period. 

He is a registered Trainer with the Government Human Resources Development Berhad (Pembangunan Sumber Manusia Berhad). And he is a GST Tax Consultant and has successfully completed the Custom examination.
